Maine is a truly magical place to be a wedding photographer. I am always in awe of the incredible locations we have here in New England, and The Hamilton House in South Berwick is a perfect example of the rich history and natural beauty that makes Maine such a special place for engagement sessions and weddings. The historic charm of this historic estate, combined with the vibrant colors of the flowers in full bloom in the enchanting gardens, provided a stunning backdrop.

Jess and Chase’s engagement session took place on a warm summer day. The afternoon began with soft, overcast skies, creating a gentle, diffused light that highlighted the natural beauty of the Hamilton House grounds.

Halfway through our session, the storm that was threatening began in full force, so we ran to our cars and waited out the the worst of it. As the rain began to slow, we ventured back out and were graced with the most beautiful golden hour light, which illuminated the raindrops, creating a dreamy and ethereal look.

I'm now looking forward to Jess and Chase's wedding at Stone Garden in Westmoreland, NH. Stay tuned for what I know will be more stunning photos of this sweet couple!
